Speak with an Online GP from Home
Book a phone or video consultation and speak with an AHPRA-registered GP, often within 15 minutes during opening hours. Our doctors follow RACGP clinical standards and can manage many common health concerns remotely. If you need a physical examination, they'll tell you and help you arrange the right in-person care.
Medical Certificates
Too unwell for work or study? Our doctors can assess you by phone or video and, where appropriate, issue a medical certificate for sick leave, carer's leave or university, sent to your phone as a PDF. Certificates are issued by AHPRA-registered doctors, just like one from a clinic.
Prescriptions
If a medicine is clinically appropriate, your doctor sends an eScript to your phone by SMS or email. You can fill it at any pharmacy in Tasmania, from Hobart to Launceston and the North West Coast, or use a pharmacy delivery service. Not every medicine can be prescribed by telehealth, and your doctor will explain your options.
General Health
Get advice and treatment for common problems such as urinary tract infections, sore throats, gastro and skin conditions, plus ongoing care for blood pressure and cholesterol.
Pathology / Radiology
Your doctor can send blood test, X-ray, ultrasound and other imaging referrals to your phone or email. Take them to any pathology collection centre or imaging provider in Hobart or elsewhere in Tasmania.
Mental Health
Speak with a doctor about anxiety, low mood, stress or sleep problems, and review your ongoing medication. Teldoc doesn’t provide Mental Health Care Plans, so for a plan please see your usual GP or MyMedicare practice.

Q. How much does a consultation cost?
Standard consultations are $55 on weekdays and $75 on weekends and public holidays. Bulk billing is available for eligible Medicare card holders, including STI testing and contraception consultations, babies under 12 months and people experiencing homelessness. Medicare only covers a telehealth GP consultation if you have seen us in person in the past 12 months or an exemption applies, so other consultations are charged at our private fee.
